GLOW BOWL RECIPE FOR GUT-SKIN HEALTH

A fibre-rich, prebiotic, and probiotic-packed bowl to nourish your gut and promote radiant skin. (serves 2)

 


 

For the Base 

  • 1 cup cooked quinoa (provides protein)
  • 1 cup mixed leafy greens - spinach, rocket, or kale
  • 1/2 cup steamed broccoli 
  • 1/2 cup roasted sweet potato, cubed 
  • 1/4 cup grated carrots 
  • 1/2 an avocado

 
Gut-Boosting Toppings

  • 2 tbsp fermented sauerkraut 
  • 2 tbsp plain unsweetened Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt 
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds 


Dressing 

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp raw honey 
  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • Pinch of sea salt and black pepper to taste


  1. Prep the Base: Layer the cooked quinoa and leafy greens in a large bowl then arrange the steamed broccoli, roasted sweet potato, carrots, and avocado on top.

  2. Add the Gut-Boosters: Sprinkle with ground flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds, and top with sauerkraut and a dollop of yogurt.

  3. Whisk the Dressing: In a small bowl, mix olive oil, apple cider vinegar, mustard, honey, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.

  4. Assemble: Drizzle the dressing over the bowl, toss gently, and enjoy!
