Can you tell us a bit about yourself, your background and your connection to Milan?
I first came to Milan at 16 when I was discovered by IMG Models, which kicked off my career in fashion. After spending two years in New York, I returned to Italy and chose Milan as my home base for its international vibe. The city is where the worlds of fashion, innovation, and culture converge—making it the perfect place to continue growing both professionally and personally. Milan has a unique energy that blends its rich history with a forward-thinking attitude, and I feel connected to both its past and its future, the perfect place where I launched AVÀSH, my natural supplements brand!
How do you like to practise wellness and find calm in your city?
I find balance through a mix of activities that help me recharge. I love long walks in the park, especially in Parco Sempione near the Sforza Castle, which offers a peaceful retreat right in the center of the city. Reformer Pilates is another key part of my routine—it’s both physically challenging and mentally grounding. Meditation is a big part of my wellness practice too. I often invite friends to join me at my office/studio for a calming meditation session. It’s a way to center ourselves amidst the busy Milanese pace, in which I help my nervous system feel calm and grounded by taking MOOD, an adaptogen based supplement containing Ashwagandha for calm, and Rhodiola for focus and clarity.
Are there any spots we should go to for a mindful moment in Milan?
Milan is full of serene spots perfect for a mindful moment:
- Villa Necchi Campiglio: A beautiful, quiet villa with lush gardens that feel like a secret escape in the heart of Milan.
- Cappella Portinari: Located inside Sant'Eustorgio Church, it’s a peaceful space that combines art and quiet reflection.
- Parco delle Basiliche: A lesser-known green space in the city, perfect for a slow stroll or to sit and watch the world go by.
We’re going out for dinner with friends, where should we make reservations asap?
If you're looking for great spots to share with friends, here’s where I recommend:
- Langosteria Cafè: For the most incredible seafood with a modern twist, definitely my favorite restaurant for a relaxed yet refined atmosphere.
- Iyo: The best Japanese restaurant in Milan—perfect if you're craving not only sushi but unique, contemporary Japanese dishes.
- Specialità: A cozy spot for traditional Milanese pizza—simple, delicious, and always a crowd-pleaser.
- Trattoria Milanese: If you’re after a classic Milanese experience, you can’t go wrong with their iconic risotto alla Milanese or Ossobuco.
What does your perfect day off in Milan look like?
My perfect day off in Milan would start with a leisurely breakfast at Pasticceria Marchesi, where I can enjoy a cappuccino and a fresh pastry in one of the city’s most iconic cafés. Then, I’d take a stroll around the Brera district, soaking in the art, architecture, and boutique shops, before visiting the Pinacoteca di Brera to admire some of Italy’s finest art. Afterward, I’d enjoy a Pilates class to stretch and reset or a great massage at the Casa Cipriani SPA, where you can also find AVÀSH products. For brunch, I’d meet friends at Lùbar, which has a relaxed vibe and great food. In the evening, I’d head to Associazione Vini Naturali for an aperitivo, where I can sip on natural wines in a cozy, low-key setting—perfect for winding down and enjoying the company of friends.
What is a “tourist trap” that you secretly love in Milan?
As much as it’s considered a tourist hotspot, I can’t help but love the Duomo di Milano. Its Gothic architecture is truly breathtaking, and the views from the rooftop are second to none. It's a classic for a reason—it’s impossible not to be awestruck by its beauty, and I love returning to it every time I’m in the city.
Are there any local artists/musicians/creatives that you’re a fan of?
I’m surrounded by so many incredibly talented Milanese artists, and I’m constantly inspired by the work of my friends. From talented photographers who also shoot my campaigns, to stylists, creative directors, and painters—there’s always something new and exciting happening in the Milanese creative scene. I’m also in awe of local ceramic masters and chefs who bring a true sense of artistry and craftsmanship to everything they do.
How do you stay connected to a sense of “home” in such a busy city?
I believe in making my home a sanctuary. It’s my space to recharge and be present, so I keep it sacred—my rituals and wellness practices are what ground me. I take my AVÀSH supplements every day, which help me stay balanced, and I make time for the people who matter most. My friends are my family here, and we all look out for each other. We may be far from home, but together, we’ve created our own version of "home" in Milan.
Last but not least, do you have any hidden gems and must-see spots you can share with us for our next trip to Milan?
Milan is full of hidden gems that many visitors miss:
- Cascina Cuccagna: A hidden green oasis tucked away in the city. It’s a great spot to relax, have a coffee, and enjoy the garden.
- Fondazione Prada: A contemporary art space with a cool, industrial vibe. The exhibitions are always thought-provoking, and the design of the building itself is a work of art.
- Chiesa di San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore: Often referred to as the "Sistine Chapel of Milan"—this beautiful, quiet church is filled with stunning frescoes.
- Torre Branca: A hidden gem for panoramic views of Milan. It’s not as crowded as other spots, and it offers a serene moment to take in the city from above.
